offer opportunities for an Environmental Control Technician B to
join our Materials Management & Tooling team in the Puget Sound
located in Washington State. As an Environmental Control Technician
B, you will be at the forefront of our environmental management
efforts, actively contributing to the safe handling and disposal of
hazardous materials. Your expertise will be essential in navigating
complex regulations and implementing best practices that protect

Independently manage hazardous waste activities, including
identification, labeling, collection, transportation, temporary
storage, treatment, recycling, and repackaging. - Maintain
knowledge of State, Local, and Federal hazardous waste regulations
and ensure compliance through proper segregation, labeling, and
documentation. - Operate equipment for transporting, storing, and
cleaning up hazardous materials, including fork trucks, boats, and
material handling equipment, while conducting routine inspections
of collection sites. - Perform limited testing and sampling of
hazardous wastes (e.g., corrosive, flammable) according to
laboratory procedures and instructions, using appropriate testing
equipment. - Maintain records, logs, and checklists, and coordinate
with employees across shifts as necessary. - Inspect, clean, and
maintain equipment and vehicles used for hazardous waste
management, reporting maintenance needs and performing refueling as
required. - Manage inventory of hazardous materials, including
ordering through systems like HAZTRAX and Crib Master, receiving,
and issuing supplies while ensuring compliance with regulations. -
Sort and consolidate incompatible hazardous waste for disposal,
using appropriate equipment and working with Environmental Health
and Safety (EHS) as needed. - Prepare and maintain accurate records
for regulatory inspections, including local, state, federal, and
Boeing audits, as well as hazardous waste manifests. - Respond to
hazardous material spills, providing cleanup support and operating
necessary equipment, including in confined or restricted spaces
while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). - Perform Total
Preventative Maintenance (TPM) on equipment related to hazardous
waste management, such as scrubbers and oil/water separators. -
Collaborate with environmental engineers to profile chemicals and
resolve regulatory issues, ensuring compliance with established
criteria. - Serve as a chemical information resource, providing
guidance on safety data sheets (SDS) and hazardous waste reduction
programs, and giving presentations on proper segregation and
handling procedures. - Participate in process improvement
activities and coordinate changes with management and employees,
following up on requests from shop personnel. - Maintain personal
certifications and seek assistance from supervisors when needed,
while working with other organizations to ensure material
requirements are met. - Conduct confined space entry tests in
booths and plenum areas prior to decontamination tasks to ensure
safety, performing continuous monitoring of confined space
conditions throughout task completion. Physical Demands and
Potential Hazards: - Perform physical tasks that include lifting
weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs. - Engage in various
movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting,
lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and
squatting. - Work in environments that may involve contact with
metals, solvents, and coolants. - Operate in proximity to moving
parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards. -
Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions. - Utilize
personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet
while performing job duties. This position is expected to be 100%
onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at
one of the listed location options. This position must meet Export
Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined
by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen,

years of experience handling chemicals and/or hazardous material. -
Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Currently possess a valid driver’s license. Preferred
Qualifications: - 1 years of experiencing executing data entry,
retrieval and inventory management. - Experience operating a
forklift and/or electric pallet jacks. - Ability to work outdoors
in inclement weather conditions, including extreme cold, heat,
rain, snow and wind. Typical Education & Experience: High school
graduate or GED preferred. Relocation: - Relocation assistance is

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well
