great! We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our Port
of Tacoma shop. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical ability,
enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in producing high-quality
precision work. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a

environment. A Day in the Life As a CNC Machinist , you'll set up,
operate, and maintain CNC equipment to produce accurate parts and
support daily production. You will read and interpret work orders,
ensure parts meet specifications, and assist with general shop
support to keep operations running smoothly. Your responsibilities
will include: Setting up, programming, and operating CNC lathes
and/or mills to produce parts to specification. Cutting, threading,
bending, and chamfering steel and other materials. Processing work
orders electronically and updating data in the system. Performing
first article inspections and using calipers, micrometers, and
gauges to verify part accuracy. Packaging completed orders and
preparing shipments. Receiving and inspecting materials. Performing
regular machine maintenance, weekly cleaning, and routine shop
upkeep. Safely operating forklifts and assisting with general shop
activities. Communicating effectively with coworkers in person and
over the phone. Required Skills & Experience Education: High School
Diploma or GED required. Experience: 1 years of CNC machining
experience required (setup and programming required). Mechanical
Ability: Comfortable with tools, machinery, and shop processes.
Fastener Knowledge: Basic understanding preferred. Forklift:
Forklift driving experience preferred. Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Technology: Computer literacy, with the ability to process orders
and learn systems. Initiative: Self-starter with strong
organizational skills and reliability. Physical Requirements This
position requires the ability to: Lift and move objects up to 50
lbs. Perform repetitive movements including bending, reaching, and
lifting. Stand and walk for extended periods of time. Work in a
shop environment with machinery noise levels (hearing protection is
provided and required). Benefits: Compensation & Schedule
Full-Time: 40 hours per week, in-person. Schedule: Monday – Friday,
7:00am – 3:30pm Pay Range: $24.00 – 32.00 per hour (based on
experience) Annual Bonus: Discretionary year-end bonus
