*Description:* *Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Patient Services Coordinator II (Per Diem FTE, Day Shift) to work in the Sci Edmonds Medical Oncology at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.* We are seeking a detail-focused, caring, and thoughtful individual to complete patient services coordination while promoting the goals and upholding the ideals of Swedish Medical Center in providing excellent care and experience for our diverse patient population. *In this position you will:* * Schedules patient appointments with physicians and other team members according to SRC policy and procedures. Reschedules all cancellations or no-shows for appointments. * Greets patients and gives instructions to ready them for the scheduled consult and treatment. * Contacts patients regarding appointments or changes in appointments as needed. Confirms appointments with the patient 2 days in advance. * Registers patients in all applicable hospital computer systems. Consents patients and ensures their completion of required forms, assisting them as needed. * Verifies patient insurance coverage and enters all patient information required for billing into computer systems. Obtains referrals and collects co-payments at time of service. * Enters and balances daily charges into hospital financial management systems and rectifies any charge discrepancies. *Qualifications:* *Required* *qualifications for this position include:* * 1 year Receptionist or front desk experience in a clinic or hospital setting. *Preferred* *qualifications for this position include:* * Associate's Degree or equivalent educ/experience * Business courses. *About the First Hill Campus:* The 697-bed tertiary-care center on the Swedish/First Hill campus is the flagship of the Swedish health-care system.
