The Center A Place of HOPE is a growing Licensed Treatment Facility and has been providing comprehensive, professional excellence in treatment and whole-person care for addictions, depression, trauma and other life challenges since 1984.
The Center A Place of HOPE is a faith-based private agency that provides Partial Hospitalization (PHP) Day Treatment Programs for Mental Health and Substance Use including:

  • Abuse and Trauma Healing
  • Depression
  • Eating Disorders
  • Personal Wellness
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Relationship Issues
  • Sexual Addiction
  • Spiritual Renewal
  • Other Challenges
    The Center A Place of HOPE tailors its programs by providing dedicated teams to our clientele who come from across the US and globally to receive our services.
    The HOPE team consists of Medical Personnel (psychiatrists, naturopaths, dietitians), Substance Use & Mental Health clinicians, and Administration personnel.
    We are looking for a PART-TIME PSYCHIATRIST (MD or DO) living in the greater Puget Sound area, who has 1 or more years of psychiatric experience, enjoys a team-oriented environment, and values a whole-person care approach.
    RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:The following duties are intended to be representative of the work performed by incumbents in this position and are not all-inclusive. The omission of a specific duty or responsibility will not preclude it from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical extension of position responsibilities.
    1. Coordinate psychiatric care between medical, substance use and mental health teams.2. Set an example of professionalism.3. Report to the Management Staff about any issues that arise.4. Educate staff through in-service trainings, as applicable.5. Following OSHA, HIPAA and the department of health guidelines for behavioral health care.6. Ensure timely and accurate charting.7. Support medical staff assignments and responsibilities.8. Work closely with all patient care staff to ensure patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction on all levels.9. Address any urgent issues, working with all team members necessary to find an appropriate and timely resolution.10. Perform patient psychiatric assessments, follow up visits, and discharges, as scheduled.11. Inform patients of risks, benefits and possible side effects of psychotropic medications that are prescribed. To document informed consent, the psychiatrist will have the patient sign off on informed consents for medications.12. Monitor medical assistant in medication management protocol and practice. This entails ensuring the medical assistant does not distribute but monitors the task with patient taking medications as prescribed.13. Oversee communication regarding patient prescription information.14. Ensure all medical procedures as assigned are completed and documented. This includes blood draws, processing blood and other duties as requested.15. Organize and document patient information regarding visits and assessments.16. Work closely with other team members to recommend appropriate treatment plans for patients.17. Other duties as assigned.
    • Graduate of a fully licensed, general, or specialized medical school.
    • Licensed under the medical laws of the State of Washington as a Psychiatrist (MD or DO)
    • Board Certified in Psychiatry
    • 1+ years experience in psychiatric practice
    • Willingness to learn and follow clinics standards of practice
    • Demonstrable ability to connect with and provide support for adult clients
    • Willingness to work additional hours to cover vacation time of other psychiatry team members

        SCHEDULE:Schedule can be further discussed. Operating Business hours are Monday - Saturday from 8AM - 6PM.
        PAY:$200 - $300 per hour ; Pay is negotiable based on years of experience.
