Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation is a supervised exercise program that involves education, nutritional counseling, stress management, smoke cessation and other lifestyle changes designed to prevent or reverse the progression of cardiovascular pulmonary disease.







Our Cardiopulmonary Rehab team compassionately cares for patients who have been treated with certain procedures or diagnosed with conditions such as:










  • Angina









  • Bypass surgery









  • Coronary angioplasty/stent









  • Heart attack (recovery or prevention)









  • Heart valve surgery









  • Heart and/or lung transplant









  • Pulmonary Diseases









  • Peripheral Artery Disease

    In this position you will:










    • You will be responsible for working with cardiac patients following a heart attack, cardiac or valve surgery or interventional procedure. You will also be responsible for working with pulmonary patients with chronic lung disease such as COPD, pulmonary hypertension, restrictive or fibrotic lung conditions.









    • Must have a good understanding of heart anatomy and function, ECG rhythm recognition, medications used in the treatment of heart and lipid disorders and knowledge of risk factor modification techniques.









    • In addition, the individual must be willing to learn principles of exercise physiology and operation of various types of exercise equipment and techniques.









    • Responsible for daily patient and family education.








      Required qualifications:








      • Nursing degree/diploma required upon hire.



      • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or higher within 6 years of hire Or equivalent educ/experience



      • A RN with 20 years of RN experience will not be required to obtain a BSN.





      • Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis at each facility by the most senior administrative nursing leader in consultation with the Human Resources leader.



      • RNs employed prior to 1/1/13 are encouraged to obtain a Bachelor's degree or higher degree in Nursing, but obtaining the degree will not be a condition of employment.



      • Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire



      • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire



      • One (1) year Acute care experience working with the patient population similar to department of hire or completion of the specialty residency located at that facility.








        Preferred qualifications:








        • Bachelor's degree in nursing upon hire.



        • National Certification in area of specialty
