Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Mammography Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 12/01/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for outpatient diagnostics, requiring ARRT, BLS, and a valid WA license. Responsibilities - Work in a high-volume outpatient mammography setting - Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients - Procedures include 3D mammography, screening and diagnostic mammograms, fine needle aspirations, needle localizations, and stereotactic breast biopsy - Use of various x-ray and mammography-specific equipment - Department operates Monday–Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm, and Saturday, 8:00am–4:30pm - Day shifts are scheduled as 5x8 hours, typically 8:30am–5:00pm - Epic EMR system is used and prior experience is required - Must be open to floating between different campuses within the state - First-time travelers are accepted for this position - All new techs must complete 25 observed exams before working independently - Responsible for maintaining required MQSA and FDA quality control activities - A minimum 3-month separation is required for former permanent Providence employees to return as travelers - Candidates must have reliable transportation and be prepared to meet all scheduling needs - All RTO (requested time off) must be declared prior to submission; additional requests after submission may not be accommodated - Scrub attire or dress code details will be provided upon assignment Requirements - Active Washington state (WA) license required if applicable - Current ARRT and BLS certifications are mandatory - Minimum of 1 year experience required; 2 years full-time mammography experience strongly preferred - Proficiency in producing high quality screening and diagnostic mammograms - Ability to perform special procedures in conjunction with physician staff - Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years in a similar setting Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-623725.
