Job Description:
Description Operates PET/CT equipment to produce cross sectional
radiographs, and PET images, or fused images of both. Measures
concentrations of radioactive isotopes in specific body areas and
body products to obtain information for use by physicians in
diagnosing and treating patient illnesses. Follows rules and
regulations established by the NRC, Washington State Department of
Health as well as the standards set forth by the JCAHO in the
proper method of handling radioactive isotopes and the provision of

Coursework/Training: Successful completion of a Nuclear Medicine
Technology Program - Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist
- Upon hire: - National Positron Emission Tomography Technologist -
Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or - National
Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology or - National
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine
Technology Certification Board or - National Registered
Technologist - Computed Tomography or - National Computed
Tomography Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification
Board - Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart
Association Preferred Qualifications: - Coursework/Training:
Additional CT training - 1 year previous Nuclear Medicine
