Non-Certified Surgical Technician - Surgery at Swedish Health Services summary: The Non-Certified Surgical Technician assists the perioperative nursing team by performing indirect surgical tasks and patient transport under a Registered Nurse's guidance. This role supports surgical procedures for patients across all age groups and may provide technical assistance during surgeries. The position requires surgical technology education, registration, and Basic Life Support certification, with preferred surgical technologist certification. Description Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, the Surgical Technologist participates as a member of the perioperative nursing team and performs indirect perioperative tasks for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients who are having surgical and surgical endoscopy procedures. In addition, the Surgical Technologist may be assigned to transport patients, second assisting and serve as a technical expert for a surgical service. Or equivalent educ/experience Upon hire: Washington Surgical Technologist Registration Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association Prior experience as surgical technologist in an acute care facility. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
