  As part of the Living Room Devices, Browser-Based Device, Client Application Engineering Team, you'll work on innovative 10-foot devices and TVs, building apps for Disney+, Star+, ESPN, Hulu across various devices using browser and JavaScript technologies.
  Role Description:
  Seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our JavaScript browser-based devices team. The ideal candidate is motivated, collaborative, and technically skilled, capable of coordinating across teams to deliver excellent user experiences impacting millions globally.
  Responsibilities:
  
  • 
    
  • Prototype and develop scalable, reliable media applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, and web technologies.
    
  • Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and leadership to create engaging streaming experiences.
    
  • Work with developers to build and review applications for devices like Samsung and LG.
    
  • Use data and experimentation to enhance product functionality and user experience.
    
  • Mentor junior engineers.
    
    Qualifications:
    Basic:
    
    • 
      
    • 5+ years in front-end development with JavaScript (ES5 & ES6) and TypeScript.
      
    • Leadership skills, problem-solving, eagerness to learn and teach.
      
    • Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, Preact/React, Redux.
      
    • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals.
      
    • Experience building complex user interfaces.
      
    • Portfolio demonstrating UI expertise.
      
      Preferred:
      
      • 
        
      • Experience with tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Webpack, AWS, Confluence, JIRA.
        
      • Experience with web services and devices like Samsung or LG.
        
      • International product experience.
        
      • Strong Scrum experience.
        
        Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
        Compensation:
        The salary range varies by location, e.g., Seattle & New York: $142,516 - $191,180; California: $136,100 - $182,400; San Francisco: $148,994 - $199,870. Actual offer depends on various factors. Benefits include bonuses, incentives, and comprehensive health and financial plans.
