Free Parking & Daily Meals Role Purpose Statement The
Materials/Warehouse Operations Supervisor is responsible for
overseeing the efficient and effective receiving, storage,
inventory management, and distribution of food, frozen goods,
packaging, and operational supplies within LSG Sky Chefs’ supply
chain model. This role ensures product integrity, cost control, and
compliance with company and regulatory standards while leading a
team in a fast-paced, 24/7 airline catering environment. As a vital
member of our operations team, the Materials Operations Supervisor
plays a hands-on role on the floor, managing inventory and frozen
food logistics, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, and
supporting production needs. The position requires strong
leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate
across departments to maintain service excellence and operational
efficiency. You must be able to work the 3rd Shift 8pm to 5am,
Monday - Friday The initial training will be during the day for at
least a few weeks, up to a month Main Accountabilities • Oversee
the receiving, storage, and distribution of food and beverage
products, including inbound and outbound shipments. • Ensure all
products are handled in line with company policies, procedures, and
best practices in supply chain management. • Conduct product
inspections to identify damage or spoilage and manage quality
control throughout the supply chain. • Maintain accurate inventory
by reconciling records with physical counts, utilizing SAP systems
for data management. • Order and receive supplies and materials
through SAP, ensuring seamless communication with suppliers. •
Schedule and supervise warehouse staff, fostering a culture of
safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. • Collaborate
with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain processes and
meet financial and customer requirements. • Provide leadership and
guidance to warehouse staff, including training, coaching, and
performance evaluations. • Manage company and customer-owned
merchandise from receipt through issuance to production. • Monitor
and control food cost variances, determining par levels and order
quantities based on airline specifications, menus, and vendor lead
times. • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality
standards, FDA, HACCP, safety, health, and environmental
regulations. Leadership Guide, motivate and develop staff within

hours and costs in the area of responsibility; initiate and steer
corrective actions in case of deviations Participate and support
company sponsored initiatives such as Quality, HACCP, Lean
Manufacturing, Employee Safety and Production systems Knowledge,
Skills and Experience • Background in warehouse operations, ideally
within food production, logistics, or supply chain environments. •
Strong understanding of cycle counts, stock rotation and FIFO/FEFO
• Must have experience directing warehouse staff, assigning tasks,
coaching and holding teams accountable. • Ability to manage
performance in a high volume, time sensitive environment • 3–5
years of experience in inventory, or warehouse management. •
Experience with Variable Production Systems and logistics
scheduling. • Familiarity with SAP MM is a plus; strong ability to
reconcile inventory and manage data accurately. • Excellent
interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and with
external stakeholders. • Microsoft office and (SharePoint is
preferred) • Excellent communication skills both written and
verbal. Nice to Have: Experience supervising/managing Union
Employees Materials Planning Data Analysis and Reporting Audits
