Location: Edmonds, WADescription: Our National Healthcare client is currently seeking a PT Remote Medical Transcriptionist.This job will have the following responsibilities: * 80% Transcribes medical information from EPIC Electronic Medical Record system and proofreads for accuracy. Takes steps for proper editing of dictation transcribed as well as identifies and corrects potential dictation errors transcribed by communicating with Physicians.--Uses reference materials appropriately and efficiently to facilitate the accuracy, clarity and completeness of reports. Verifies patient information for accuracy and completeness.* 18% Responds to requests from physicians and staff by phone or in person as needed. Maintains the required minimum productivity standard of 24-48 hours with a 2-hour turn-around time for stat dictation requests.* 2% Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications & Requirements: * Certificate/License: Successful completion of the AAMT certification program or equivalent medical transcription training program preferred.* Experience: Minimum of five years of medical transcription in a multi-specialty setting preferred.* Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Knowledge of English spelling, grammar, punctuation and language skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
