This position is located in Mountlake Terrace, WAAH/MLT - Dishwasher Job descriptionWash and clean tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment. Keep the dish room and equipment clean and organized. Complete all daily and weekly assigned tasks. Do not put out dirty dishes, glasses or silverware! Job responsibilities Be ready for your shift and clock in no more than 5 minutes before your scheduled shift unless approved by management.Do not hang out in the kitchen or server areas before or after your scheduled shift.Complete and fill out all daily and weekly checklists.Load, run and unload dish machine. During busy times try to maintain a 20 second Rule: the machine should not be off for more than 20 seconds!Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycles.Never use soap or chemicals on the Stone Grills. Also, they must be completely cool to the touch before they are cleaned.Handle all of the stones and platters carefully. If deemed a malicious act that leads to breakage you may be required to pay for them.Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware. Do not fill more than one sink for purposes of soaking.Keep the dish room clean and organized.Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for the dining room and kitchen. Silverware should be soaked, ran through, sorted and than ran through again.Communicate with all team members while stocking clean dishes and tableware. Say behind you , corner , etc. as needed.Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at the end of the day shift and again at the end of the night shift, or when the trash is full.Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies. Check all dish chemicals at the beginning of your shift to ensure adequate levels.Clean food preparation and production areas as required.Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.Sweep and mop the entire dish area at the end of the night. Use the wet floor sign!At the end of the night run all the kitchen and dish room mats through the machine. Job requirementsNo previous restaurant experience required.Be able to work in hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time.Be physically able to lift, reach, bend and stoop.Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).Be able to safely lift bags, cases and stacks weighing up to 60 pounds up to 30 times per shift.
