is seeking a Lead Mission Systems Engineer in the Puget Sound area
to support multiple space programs. The position provides an
opportunity work with an experienced, interdisciplinary team to
develop unique systems to meet challenging requirements on dynamic
development programs. This position is in support of space systems
architecture, requirements development and management, use case
development and verification strategies with a software
implementation focus.Boeing creates the next generation products
and services for the Boeing Defense, Space & Security business. We
work with proprietary customers in the development of the
next-generation technologies in space. Our team focuses on rapid
prototyping to demonstrate a host of mission-focused technologies
for a variety of customers. Our group works all facets of
engineering from technology investment, concept development,
proposal writing, requirements and design, build, integration,
test, and demonstration of products in their relevant
environments.Position Responsibilities:
- Lead a highly skilled technical team performing systems
engineering work statement for a challenging space program
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines in an
integrated team environment to develop system architecture in
compliance with CONOPS requirements
- Lead the derived a set of ground / space algorithms & use cases
based on CONOPS; translate these algorithms into requirements
- Lead the development of software system specifications,
algorithm description documents and software requirements
- Support stakeholder needs through analysis, technical
performance measures (TPM) definition, requirements analysis, and
allocation & definition for subcontractors, utilizing Cameo, JIRA
and Confluence
- Lead the requirements verification plans, including
coordination of required tests for space and ground systems
- Lead and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for
complex space and ground architectures
- Lead software planning for and execution of subsystem and
vehicle-level integration and test campaign
- Lead the development of system recommended operating procedures
(ROPs)This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected
candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security
Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a
condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Top
Secret/SCI Clearance Post-Start is required.Special Program Access
or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this
position. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree in Engineering,
Physics, or related technical course of study
- 5+ years of systems engineering experiencePreferred
Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Systems engineering experience on aerospace platforms or
similar highly regulated products
- Experience with requirements development, verification,
validation, ICDs, risk, issues and opportunities management and
trade studies
- Experience with hardware / software integration
- Experience in development, build and test of spacecraft or
ground systems
- Experience utilizing Model Based Engineering (MBE or MBSE)
tools
- Experience working across multiple disciplines in a rapid
development environment
- Active Top Secret clearance and SSBI investigation highly
desired (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past
24 months is considered active).Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical
education from an accredited course of study in engineering,
computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor)
and typically 7 or more years' related work experience or an
equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.
Master+4 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET
accreditation is the preferred, although not required,
accreditation standard.Relocation:This position offers relocation
