Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Mid-Level or Senior Model-Based Systems
Engineers (MBSE) to support our Systems Engineering & Integration
(SE&I) team in Everett, WA. --The SE&I team is a division
of the Airplane Level Engineering Integration (ALEI) Organization
within the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA). Engineers joining our
team will be responsible for developing, implementing and executing
MBSE solutions across multiple BCA programs and the Enterprise.The
SE&I MBSE team is uniquely positioned to advance Boeing's
approach to organizing large-scale, complex aerospace objectives
and connecting the teams and data with digital solutions.-- The
team and this role collaborate and influence the digital
transformation journey through implementation of modern software
technology and model-based methods across the entire Boeing
Enterprise - including Product Development, Defense Systems, and
Commercial Airplanes. The team is looking for passionate,
innovative, experienced engineers with a background in Model Based
Systems Engineering eager to make a positive impact on the future
of The Boeing Company.Employees work in a dynamic and distributed

member is critical to success. The ideal candidate will be able to
work as part of an expansive (and international) team, shape the
capabilities that lead to future Boeing products and be willing to
adapt to rapidly evolving tasks and responsibilities with minimal
guidance and supervision.--Primary Responsibilities:
- Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to assist
with analyses, design, development, and verification of a
lifecycle-balanced system of systems and system solutions, both for
our MBSE tools themselves and via the application of those tools to
Boeing's products.
- Develop information for selection, implementation techniques,
and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs,
including present and future capacity requirements.
- Lead the development and definition of a product or system
architecture using model-based systems engineering to create
validated sets of requirements, identify system/component
interfaces and other stakeholder/customer viewpoints.
- Develops and applies new, model-based approaches to assist with
analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability,
testability, human systems integration, survivability,
vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory,
certification, product assurance, and other specialties quality
factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission
success.
- Establish standards and guidelines for model-based integration
across multi-disciplinary modeling domains.This position is
expected to be 100% onsite.-- The selected candidate will be
required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
--This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements,
therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. -- 120.15 is
required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent
resident, refugee, or asylee. ----Basic Qualifications (Required
Skills / Experience): --
- Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science degree from an
accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry.
- 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent
combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD,
Master+3 years' related work experience).
- Understanding and experience in systems and/or software
engineering, including: systems architecture, requirement
development, integration, verification, and validation.
- Working with limited supervision, taking ownership of projects
and processes to achieve schedule and technical goals as
assigned.Preferred Qualification (Desired Skills / Experience):
- Data science skills including understanding of schemas, data
structures and data models (graph, relational, object oriented,
etc.)
- Understanding of Configuration management fundamentals
- Experience with formalized semantics and semantic modeling
languages and frameworks such as RDF, OWL, SPARQL, and TTL.
- Experience with Model Based Engineering tools and languages
such as Enterprise Architecture, Cameo, MagicDraw, Rhapsody and
languages / frameworks such as UML, SysML, and UAF.
- Prior experience developing new engineering tools and
processes
- Prior experience implementing model-based approaches on
engineering projects / programs; ensuring delivered models will
work within the receiving architecture and digital engineering
platform
- Experience or familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework
Environment (SAFe)
- Ability to communicate to and influence broad set of audiences
on digital concepts, technologies to business leaders at all
levels, as well as business concepts to technologists.
- Professional certification (e.g., INCOSE CSEP, OCSMP)Typical
Education/Experience:Level 3: Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or
more years' experience in an engineering classification or a
Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an
engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an
engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of
Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering,
computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the
preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Level
4:---- Bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' experience
in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with
typically 7 or more years' experience in an engineering
classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years'
experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or
Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation
standard.This position offers relocation based on candidate
