Position Purpose: Process accounts payable activities in a timely
manner and perform other accounting and general office support.
Essential Functions:
Manage, respond to, and organize Accounts Payable email box
Enter daily vendor invoices and route for proper approval
Process weekly vendor payments and resolve payment issues as
needed
Responsible for new vendor setup and maintenance
Reconcile general ledger accounts for accounts payable
Maintain prepaid sub-ledger and verify accuracy of GL
distributions.
Prepare and generate prepaid entries and reports each month and
review balances to assure proper GL posting
Perform assigned daily tasks to include journal entry posting, wire
transfers, and reporting
Maintain desktop procedures manual
Provide excellent internal and external customer service as the
department's primary contact.
Perform related duties and responsibilities as required
Qualifications/Requirements:
Typically requires either two years college or technical school in
business or related field, or 2+ years related experience and/or
training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred relevant experience with accounts payable systems and
procedures or in another related administrative capacity requiring
a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and analytical
capability.
The ability to provide efficient and courteous customer service and
support via telephone and in person is required along with
excellent organizational, communication, and administrative
skills.
Attention to detail, effective skills in problem analysis and
resolution and excellent interpersonal and communication skills are
necessary, along with accurate mathematical, technical, and
analytical skills and highly effective organizational skills.
Ability to develop working knowledge of First Fed organization and
functions including locations and personnel at those locations and
the ability to develop and maintain a working knowledge of First
Fed policies, procedures, and systems will be necessary.
Excellent computer skills and proficiency at an intermediate level
in all MS Office applications. Strong Excel skills required.
Physical Requirements:
The work requires the ability to operate office machines and
equipment, such as personal computers, printers, copying machines
and telephones. The work requires the ability to communicate
clearly with customers, coworkers, and others in person and on
telephones. Work activities involve combinations of
sitting/standing for extended periods.
Pay Range
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $35.69hr
The typical hiring range for this position is min $21.00 -
$24.09hr
The hiring range may be adjusted accordingly for final candidates
in areas with a higher cost of living.
The incentive plan for this position is the Staff Support Incentive
plan. It is paid out quarterly with a 5% target payout.
