Seattle, Washington, United States Software and ServicesDescriptionAs a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for providing the platform for mission-critical cloud systems to maintain constant uptime, scale seamlessly, and support new applications and services. The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated with a passion for excellence, quality, and detail. The SRE will support operations and work closely with developers and architects to improve stability, security, and scalability.As an SRE at Apple, you will:

• Operate, monitor, and triage all aspects of our production and non-production environments.
• Design, build, and implement solutions for current and future issues.
• Prepare alert procedures, runbooks, and collaborate with offshore SRE teams.
• Automate deployment and orchestration of services into the cloud environment.
• Participate in capacity planning, scale testing, and disaster recovery exercises.
• Support partner teams, including engineering, QA, and program management.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external vendors.Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, engineering, or related experience; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years in a Site Reliability Engineering role focused on infrastructure.
• Expertise in cloud operations, especially infrastructure-as-a-service (compute, storage, network virtualization).
• Proficiency in Golang and Java.
• Experience with large-scale multi-tenant managed infrastructure.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across the infrastructure stack.Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with IaaS orchestration tools (OpenStack, CloudStack).
  • Knowledge of Linux virtualization (Libvirt, QEMU, KVM).
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus.Apple offers a competitive total compensation package, including base pay, stock options, benefits, and opportunities for growth. The pay range for this role is $135,400 to $250,600, depending on experience and location.Employees can participate in stock programs, receive benefits such as medical, dental, retirement plans, discounts, and educational reimbursement.
