As Bench Scientist, you will:

Job Description:
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
--- Regularly monitor, self-assign, and update inventory requests
--- Use LIMS interface and Excel workbooks to fulfill and document assigned requests
--- Manipulate protein samples under sterile conditions inside a biosafety cabinet
--- Purify antibodies with AKTA Avant equipment
--- Characterize purified proteins by UPLC, UV-vis, and Mass Spectrometry methods
--- Maintain detailed records of purification experiments in an ELN
--- Complete general lab upkeep including buffer preparation and basic FPLC/column maintenance
--- Communicate activities to the team and troubleshoot any issues, elevating problems to management as needed

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
--- Wet lab experience using pipettes and maintaining sample sterility using biological safety cabinets
--- Hands-on experience with FPLC protein purification
--- (Preferred) experience with protein analytical methods (e.g., analytical SEC, HIC, mass spectrometry)
--- (Preferred) experience keeping records in ELN systems
--- (Preferred) writes or understands advanced Excel formulas and VBA or other coding languages

PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
--- Able to lift and move 25 lbs

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $32.00-$36.00 per hour.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
