Journeyman PipefitterOne Available Job OpeningPosition OverviewPaper mill seeking Journeyman Pipefitter layout, fit up, assemble & maintain all types of pipe systems, pipe supports & related hydraulic or pneumatic equipment to include steam, hot water heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling & industrial production/processing systems & hazardous piping.Job Details

• Located in Port Townsend, WA
• $75,774 annually
• Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PMResponsibilities
  • Perform maintenance on mill equipment as scheduled
  • Troubleshoot mill systems & equipment as needed
  • Installation of new & rebuilt equipment
  • Perform inspections & preventive maintenance tasks
  • Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings & related equipment according to specifications by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering & threading
  • Able to perform 6G quality Welds
  • Inspect & examine then test installed systems & pipelines
  • Measure & mark pipes for cutting and threading. Layout, fit up, assemble, and maintain all types of pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic or pneumatic equipment to include steam, hot water heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems, and hazardous piping.
  • Layout full-scale drawings or pipe systems and related equipment following blueprints.
  • Attach pipes to walls and structures.
  • Plan pipe system layout installation or repair according to specifications
  • All other duties as assignedRequirements & Qualifications
    • Ability to pass specific background screenings & drug screening
    • 5 years Journey Pipefitter or equivalent experience
    • Completed apprenticeship program in craft line or equivalent experience
    • Journey level skills in the craft
    • Equipment specific knowledge
    • Proper handling procedures for chemical common to pulp & paper process
    • A basic level of skills in processes that may be outside of the primary craft's core competency including welding, cutting, machining, metal working, computer operation, fitting, rigging and other skills common to maintenance activities
